More of a stroll but certainly worth it to an overlook with amazing panoramic views. Watched three mountain goats foraging in the valley below.

Not really a hike so much as a pleasant walk out to an overlook with stunning views. Well worth the stop.

Easy walk. Read about the first superintendent that climbed Independence Rock every 4th of July to plant an American Flag at the top. Heard voices and looked over to the rock and saw two climbers a short distance from the top

We stopped by this park on our way to Arches NP. We were blown away by how pretty and secluded it was. Visitors must read up about John Otto while there- an amazing conservationist whom spent his life fighting for the preservation of this amazing landscape. Otto's trail is an easy hike to an incredible overlook of several formations. Must-visit park.

Walked this with my 10 year old son. It's a quick out and back with the primary focus being the views at the end. There's a fenced, flat viewing/lookout area. We took some cool pics. I recommend this trail if you're short on time or have older folks or little ones. We were short on time.

It was hot in Grand Junction, but at 5800 feet on Rim Rock Drive it was much cooler. Otto's trail is a nice short gradually sloping one mile RT hike to some impressive views of Independence Monument and surrounding high desert rock formations.
