LOVED this hike. Wore spikes. No snowshoes needed until about 1 to 1/12 hours in. The snow then was pretty deep and not packed down. Might be more packed now after weekend traffic. Beautiful trees. A wonderful winter wonderland. Great place to go if you have little ones in ski school at Winter Park. It is right across the street from the big parking lot. No bathroom at trailhead.

Pretty trail in the snow- lots of beautiful trees. I would rate this as easy... Snow packed from snowshoers. I had yak trax and did just fine :)

Tougher hike due to snow but we enjoyed the trail. Waterfall is frozen already. Saw the last bit of color too. Looking forward to doing this next summer.

There are two destinations on this hike. The first is about 2 miles up- a gorgeous view of meadow and mountains. We got there just a bit early as the aspens haven't changed yet. Should be gorgeous by the end of the week. The second is a waterfall about 3 1/2 miles up. You have to cross the Jim Creek several times (can be muddy or slippery) and you hear the creek pretty much the entire time. We saw no wildlife except birds but met hikers who say they've seen moose frequently. So plan accordingly for time- it can several hours long if going to the waterfall.

We really enjoyed this trail. I have been on it before in the winter and wanted to come back when there wasn’t any snow. We went well past the end of the trail listed on here, and continued on the trail to see some magnificent waterfalls. Some very muddy/mushy parts of the trail so take appropriate shoes.

Nice pretty easy trail with a few simple river crossings out to the waterfall. Waterfall was very nice and peaceful.

It was a beautiful hike but the aspen have not even started to change yet. When hiking this and using All Trails, it will show that you have reached the destination, but keep going for 1/4 mile to get to the waterfall.

Lots of extra trails being made by people trying to avoid the mud. Nice amount of shade.

A beautiful hike. It just steadily goes up. The scenery was well worth it. There is a small waterfall at the end of the trail.

Good Hike very near Winter Park. Not crowded at all on a Sunday. Trailhead has a sign partially hidden by a tree but it says Jim Creek Trail. Everything still green in early September. Most wildflowers were gone at this time of year.

Lovely hike along the creek that ends with a beautiful waterfall. Some creek crossings over rocks or downed logs, but easy to do. Wildflowers were nice too!

Great hike. Trail was in good condition despite all the rain. Loved the views and sound of creek was perfect. If a warmer day, bring the insect repellent. Will definitely do again.

Great trail with many openings to see the Continental Divide. There is a back parking lot that will start you at the trail head and save you about 0.9 miles of hiking. Wish I had known, probably would have made it to the falls (had to stop because of time).

Nice easy hike with kids (4&10). It was muddy in places but not bad. Took our dog and passed a few others on the trail. Beautiful wildflowers and the creek/streams are lovely. Waterfalls were cool.

Awesome trail! You get to hike along the stream for quite sometime, and there is a beautiful waterfall at the end. The coordinates listed do not take you to the trailhead. Use these coordinates (39.8803317, -105.7418190)

Isn’t a great hike. Not challenging, but there really isn’t much to see. The trees block the Mountain View and you can’t see the stream from the trail.

This trail is very dog friendly and good for small kids, but it picks up the pace after about 2/3 of the trail. It got pretty rocky, but the waterfall was very worth it. Views of the mountains were pretty covered, which is good for shade but not good for views.

Decent trail. Last mile is a little interesting having to maneuver over some streams. The view along the way is average at best and the falls at the end are kind of underwhelming. All in all an ok hike if you aren't looking for breathtaking scenery.

A really lovely trail! Lots of trees and a view of the river/creeks throughout. The beginning is very easy, with more of an incline and more muddy areas a little after halfway.
