Great trail. Hiked on a Sunday. Starts out open & easy from parking lot then narrows with lots of steps from rocks & roots and beautiful trails weaving thru forests and rock bluffs. Lots of inclines & switchbacks. A few neat view opportunities of reservoir & FTC. Parking lot can fill up by 10. Mix of foot only & open trails, which means you’ll need to watch out for my bikers flying down the trails sometimes. But still great hike & only 30 mins from Loveland.

I absolutely loved this trail. The views are spectacular and even though it was busy the trail is wide enough that I was never rushed by other hikers. Not alot of trees, so go on an overcast day or pack some sunblock. I also took my two young boys and the trail was not overly difficult. I wouldn’t reccomend for anyone youger than 2. Great hike and can’t wait to go back.

fun hike, no shade, hot for our dog, can be busy, nice views, restroom at start, $9.00 fee, $20.00 fine if you don't pay, we bought 12 month pass for $90.00. $65.00 age 65. actual loop trail involves 3-4 different trail names, so take a map with you.

Fun hike done at about noon on a Tuesday. Quite a few people and dogs near start and end but we were on our own near the falls area. Falls were non existent- dried up. But still a beautiful hike.

The falls were dried up, but it still was a super hike with the dog. Beautiful views and saw some wildlife.

Nice cloudy afternoon made for a pleasant hike. Views of the reservoir and city, plus plenty of deer, were the visual highlights. The falls were just a trickle. If you go on the bottom and top of the falls spurs, you end up closer to 4 miles total.

I love the climb and views at the top are beautiful, but this hike is always incredibly overrun with people. If you want any moment of serenity in this beautiful place, plan for an early morning weekday hike. The waterfall can be a bit anticlimactic if you’re visiting during a dry spell.

Hiked on 6/18, rainy and trail super muddy. Thought that the falls would be flowing heavy, but still light. Still fun, easy and enjoyable.

Lovely loop and a nice way to come back from the Falls!

I would agree with the moderate rating on this trail. It's a nice steady incline with some shade and a handful of place to catch your breath. The falls at the end were beautiful but small. It's a good hike but watch the loose dirt/sand on the trail.

High traffic trail. Majority of the trail is covered with snow, spikes or trekking poles would be helpful. Nice views.

I just went to the falls. Was moderate incline most of the way. Only went to the top of the falls can’t see much but the pool of water were it starts but beautiful views. Saw stellar jays, magpie and raven.
