Horsethief trail also known to us locals as "bridge of heaven." This hike is fabulous! We do it every summer and it's tough but worth it. You either park before the river crossing at dexter creek and hike the 1.5 miles to the trailhead or if you have a higher clearance 4wd you can drive the 1.5 miles to the trailhead. We didn't know what to expect the first time so we walked the 1.5 miles up- that made for a 13 mile day that was tough so get up to the trailhead if your car can make it. We do see some Subaru's as they are the official car of Colorado but mostly taller vehicles will make it no problem. This trail has insane views pretty much the whole time with Bridge of heaven being a kapow moment. Great spot for lunch. You can also through hike on this trail and just keep on going. Plenty of bears around so be very aware of your surroundings at all times when hiking in our amazing state

Very lovely trail. I haven't gone all the way over, but going up to the bridge of heaven is a gorgeous hike.
