Currently pretty muddy on the “2nd half” of the hike (when starting counter-clockwise). I would suggest doubling back somewhere around the 2 mile mark
My soul is full! Great hike, much more muddy than anticipated, but it made for some good technical passes. Definitely will be back!
Warning - this is not a beginner mountain biking trail! I am a nervous beginner and walked/pushed close to half of the ride. There are lots of rocks and narrow passages. Had several locals ask me why we were here and suggested Kokopeli or Road 18 instead. With that said, it is close to town, quite pretty, and easy to see people coming. And I’m glad I did it. We “rode” clockwise and took the cutoff via Clunker. Early in the morning, the first 1/3 is in the shade. It is interesting terrain and I would return to hike it.
Great Trail (not very difficult) especially for trail runners, parents with kids, and those new to mountain biking. great view of the Bookcliffs from about the halfway mark. not quite as pretty as some hikes, but definitely one to check out.
Good for mountain biking and trail running. Not a great hiking trail.
