The Foothills Trailhead is located about a half- mile north of Hwy. 36 and Broadway on the dirt North Foothills Hwy. frontage road.

Pretty trail. Definitely an easy trail not moderate.

Although rated as a moderate, should be rated easy. It is scenic once you get into the trail a bit...

Good trail, loved the views

Snowy, windy, cloudy and cold today. Awesome! Never crossed paths with another person. Always fun crossing the Quarry. Nice run down Round-up trail. Rocks on Contemplative Trail blocked wind. No need for traction today.

This hike was fairly flat with a few icy patches. It’s really cool how it takes you through the layered rock formations and up some rock staircases. Will be back again!

A great hike! Starts out at Sand Canyon then take Round up Trail to Red Rock canyon trail and back to beginning. Great views along the way.

I really enjoyed this hike. Great variety of surroundings and landscapes. Some parts of this trail feel like Garden of the Gods Lite with all of the cool rock structures! Just keep in mind there is VERY little tree cover. Easy/moderate difficulty.

Busy section, but beautiful and a nice walk.

Great trail! Use this map to stay on track as you can easily take a wrong direction at a marker. There is definitely a climb. I'd rate this as a medium trail.

The view was beautiful, trail was easy, saw kids doing it. Probably best to do early morning or evening. Very little shading

Excellent. Variety of options to veer off. Beautiful terrain. Kids 9 and 13 handled it.

Beautiful morning walk. For a lovely hour-long hike, I recommend taking the Mesa Trail to the Quarry Pass Trail to Red Canyon Path. This will allow beautiful views of the Garden of the Gods, a reservoir, and the quarry. Leave your car in the second parking lot and hike from the left (east) end of the first parking lot. This is the only hike we did at Red Rock Canyon, but we were amazed at the beauty so close to town.

Awesome trail system... Views are amazing... has some nice elevation change and really didn't see any other hikers once past a mile out. The hike I downloaded was a bit short so took some of the other available trails to add a bit of distance. shout-out to alltrails pro... makes altering a route on the fly easy!

Beautiful - always love Red Rocks. It seems that we choose another path each time we go. So happy that CoS turned the quarry into something we could enjoy time and time again.

While not as popular as Garden of the Gods this is still a very popular attraction and parking becomes limited on busy weekends. Interesting rock formations pop up throughout the hike and are always a nice surprise. Maps are present at most of the trail intersections and help navigate the large trail system in this open space. Hiked all over this open space covered in beautiful wild flowers and filled with red rock formations. Pretty large trail system but Not overly marked in some areas. There were maps at the beginning but they're slightly confusing. We ended up on a much longer hike than anticipated and endured some rain but it was still worth it!great exercise in an astounding landscape-can't beat it!
