While not as popular as Garden of the Gods this is still a very popular attraction and parking becomes limited on busy weekends. Interesting rock formations pop up throughout the hike and are always a nice surprise. Maps are present at most of the trail intersections and help navigate the large trail system in this open space.

Hiked all over this open space covered in beautiful wild flowers and filled with red rock formations. Pretty large trail system but Not overly marked in some areas. There were maps at the beginning but they're slightly confusing. We ended up on a much longer hike than anticipated and endured some rain but it was still worth it!great exercise in an astounding landscape-can't beat it!

Didn't feel too traveled or too lonely- just right. Saw some very happy mountain bikers & I was super zen on this trail

Simple and fun with some great views!

There is nothing moderate about this trail IF you hike regularly. It is touristy so perhaps the moderate label is applied using non-hikers as a baseline.

The best for west side riding!

Decent hiking. Fairly easy. Even the trails labeled difficult weren't that challenging. We hiked most of the trails in Red Rock Canyon Open Space in one afternoon.

Trials were nice, a lot of rock climbers as well as easier climbs for the little ones. Very crowded so if your looking to feel alone and a little lost this would be ideal. Very family friendly however for those looking for an easy fun hike with their children or pups.

Good hike in an open space. Lots of loose granite so wear good shoes.

My boyfriend and I have hiked in red rock canyon many times - there are many trails you can take to keep it fresh. Some trails are through forest, and some go through the prairie. The views of the canyon are gorgeous, and can vary from east to moderate. The hogback trail can be taken up onto a rocky uprise for a good view of the springs, and it is overall an easy hike.

Nice and easy hiking trails; have done several of these. It's been a couple years but we plan to go back soon since there are many more Geocaches placed in the area since we last hiked here.

Great place to hike with the kids. Several rock cutouts from the quarry days are funn to explore. Lots and lots of trails and not too many people.

A great series of trails. Nice scenery and several geo-caches.
Saw a coyote right as I entered the park, was past by a deer close by as I went through some rough, and saw another coyote in some other rough.

As others have said, it's quite like Garden of the Gods, but much less traffic. There was some volunteers repairing the Contemplative Trail while we were there. There were quite a few people on bikes and with dogs. I definitely plan on coming out again and trying some of the different trails.
