Highline Trail is a 3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Snowmass Village, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Leadville: Drive approximately 3 miles southwest of Leadville to State Highway 300. The trailhead is within the boundaries of the Leadville National Fish Hatchery. Follow signs to the fish hatchery turning right on to Highway 300. You will find the trailhead approximately 2.5 miles after leaving Highway 24. Look for it on the left side of the road.
Lots of animal tracks. No people.
Nice easy hike lots of bikers and some horses. We did see some wild life and the scenery is amazing as you gain elevation. Very easy hike.
Nice easy trail- can be done in 1 hour or less. Watch out for bikes!
