Highline Canal Trail: Cherry Creek Trail to Expo Park is a 14 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Centennial, Colorado that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
A wonderful urban/neighborhood multi-use trail. Can be heavily trafficked with lots of bikes. It has lots of picnic areas. Accessibility: The trail surface is mostly paved and typically at least six feet wide. The grade is mostly gentle (all estimated under 5%) so most wheelchair and stroller users will likely be able to traverse this trail.
Of note: detour for trail improvement expected until August, 2021. Concrete or asphalt along the whole length perfect for a bike ride in the city. Mundane scenery of condos that line the trail. Glimpses of the distant mountains.
great leisure neighborhood trail for a Thursday morning, 10-1130am.. started in the middle, went 6 miles in each direction
I actually rode my mountain bike but the tread and suspension wasn't necessary. The north end and goes along the interstate at times and crosses a handful of roads but you also go through parks and along cherry creek on the southern section, which was beautiful. Good for a casual ride or walk. i started on a Saturday at 8:30am and there was low traffic. Around 9:30-10 it picked up to about moderate traffic. If you're near it, looking to get outside and move, check it out!
