This is a route between Hidden Mesa's upper and lower trailheads. Start at the upper trailhead, running (or biking, hiking, whatever) down the rocky mesa trail to the lower trailhead. Turn around and run back up to the top of the mesa, now wishing you'd have saved the downhill part of the route for the return trip and fully appreciating the name of the route. There are bathrooms at both trailheads. Parking is fairly limited at the upper trailhead. Dogs allowed on leash. Please clean up after your dogs using the free materials provided for doing so.

This is a trailhead to trailhead out and back run (ride, hike, trot, whatever) at Hidden Mesa Open Space. It's 6.66 miles with a healthy burst of elevation to climb back up the mesa. Short section of paved pathway (Cherry Creek Trail) to traverse near the Franktown-side trailhead. Given the mileage and how that burst of elevation feels on the return, I refer to it as Devil's Traverse (but apparently alltrails isn't on board with that...)
