Hermits Rest Trail is a 4.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Crawford, Colorado that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Zigzagging through oak, pine, juniper, and fir, hikers descend to wooded camp and picnic sites on the shores of Morrow Point Reservoir. Campsites with picnic tables, fire grates, and toilets are provided at the end of the trail.

Great trail and views! Park sign say 6 miles, not 4.9..... and almost 1800' elevation gain. End of Nov and still very warm. Wonderful rock walking at bottom and beautiful driftwood.

The Devils Corkscrew will teach you a thing or two! Be ready for the big uphill. Trail paved with stones in some areas.

3 miles down to a the beautiful river, then 3 miles back up. Fantastic hike.
