Loved this trail! Perfect if you’re looking for a simple day-hike. Only negative is the trail isn’t marked very well, in my opinion. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed this trail in the fall for the colors. The best view is really from the road/edge of the lake before you drive to the trailhead. From here the mountain reflects off of the water. There is parking right at the trailhead and also parking earlier than that where the trail intersects the road.

We went on a Sunday late morning, and saw no one on the trail - just a couple fisherman on the lake. There are several different routes you can take for a shorter or longer hike.

Great trail, the only obstacle was horse poop all along the trail. But otherwise: beautiful, parts dramatic, parts sweet and bright. I would consider this trail easy, comparing to the Purgatory one.

Great hike, I would say more easy than moderate. Mosquitos were everywhere, only bothered you when stopped. Lots of horses & poop to go along with them. Nice waterfall & very covered forest.
Definitely worth it.

Very horse beaten trail but the waterfall and creek stop about 2/3 in (counter) makes it worth it.

Great for snowshoeing. Not much parking in winter tho.

This is a great trail, but should be done early in the season. In the summer, their are tons of mosquitoes. It did make our 9 year old motivated to finish the hike faster.

Such a great hike trail system. Mosquitoes were horrible, even with bug spray I alone was bit 10 times.

Lovely hike with moderate but frequent elevation changes. Our kids (4,10,&12) did great on the trail. The dogs loved it too! Wonderful colors in autumn.

Mosquito city! Beautiful, but definitely bring bug spray!

Be prepared for mosquitos. They nearly carried us away. We had to abandon the trip early.

Nice trail mostly through trees. Trailhead is near the first lake parking lot and was relatively easy throughout. It ran near a couple water falls and streams, there was a couple switchbacks and a point that you had to step on rocks over a stream. There are a couple of other loops you can take if you wanted to make it longer.

Started out steep. Great single track with some brief technical sections. Trail system is comprised of several loops with in loops.

Not a ton of scenic lookouts and mostly walking through the woods. The lake area is beautiful though and there are a couple waterfalls off the trail.

Very pretty, easy, scenic hike. We found two beautiful waterfalls, neither of which are directly on the trail. One of which you have to hike down a very steep section and cross the creek to get to but well worth it!
