Had a wonderful hike with hubby and my step-son (he's 14). We got to the parking lot at 0730 and the spots are getting filled up. It's about 10 mins walk before you get to the bottom of the mountain which is the beginning of the hike. The trail is rocky so make sure you wear a good hiking shoes. This trail reminds me of The Incline because you are climbing a mountain to get to the top. Don't forget to stop, rest and enjoy the scenery and the sound of the water fall. There is a water fall/stream that runs down the mountain. Bring water, sunscreen and walking stick if you have them. Trust me it's worth the hike. Before you reach hangin lake, there is a sign for Spouting Rock which we took after hanging lake. It's about 5 mins hike up and you'll see a beautiful water fall. There are many chipmunks or squirrel around the falls, I couldn't tell the difference but they were so cute!
