The long drive to the trailhead is worth it when you get to the top, beautiful views!! We went backpacking in the summer and ended up going back to hiking in the fall so we could see the leafs changing colors and it was so worth it! Love this hike!

Lots of climbing with great views after a mile or so. Long drive to reach trail head but worth it.

Very beautiful hike. Watch for bears especially if your backpacking in to continue on to holy cross. Go in the fall when the leaves change.
