Got of work early so decided to go for a short hike/run. this was the perfect distance to get in and out quickly. It was not very crowded at all around 4pm on Monday. Saw one person on my way out and two on the way back. Will definitely do again! My only complaint is that it is not dog friendly.
VERY easy hike if you're looking for a walk. the top isnt anything to gauk at but it's very cool! no one up here today
It was a nice hike, but the trail was shorter than said and was slightly anticlimactic. Very pretty views though and a good trail!
I would say this trail should be rated as easy, not moderate. Not much incline and nothing technical. It was a beautiful hike, some wildflowers are starting to bloom. I went in the early evening (around 6pm) and there was hardly anyone there. Ran into a couple of friendly horseback riders. Can’t wait to come back
Wasn’t paying attention and missed the turnoff to the end/top and ended up at the other parking lot lol
Completely snow covered on 2/9, no ice or mud. Saw some folks with snowshoes; we got by with spikes, which weren't even really needed. Some forestry equipment visible along the way. For all the comments on other trails in HVR: the trail closures are only Monday - Friday until 2/28.
