Arrived around noon and there was tons of parking. Beautiful wildflowers and some wildlife. Challenging first half of hike, leisurely second half. Great workout!

Good if you’re looking for something easy close to Denver, but not if you’re trying to feel isolated in the wilderness. Lots of mountain biking. Doesn’t speak well of all the hikers that we saw more runners and bikers wearing face masks than those walking. Appreciate those who did. It shows you care about those around you. The opposite holds true for the vast majority who choose not to on such a narrow and crowded trail...

great views at the top of this hike! also pretty windy up there, which felt great after making the trek up. there were quite a few bikers, and the trail itself is pretty narrow at certain points, so be alert of your surroundings. nice big parking lot with 2 port-o-potty’s available

Great for trail running!

If you live close to the city of Denver, this is a nice trail. It offers a city view from up high and views of snow covered mountains in the distance. All with less than a 20 minute drive! As others have said, the incline at the start makes this moderate. The rest of it will be easy. I did this one in an hour and a half (walking) and that's with taking pictures and stopping for Pokémon at times. I got here at 8am and found spots to park, but when leaving the lot was full. Bring a coat if you go early, it was windy and a little cold, even with the sun shining. Hat/hoodie would be good to pack also.

Heavy biker trail, nice for a walk but be ready to step off the trail a lot for bikers to pass! Fun view of Denver in the distance, not too strenuous.

Mud-less and very enjoyable! Plenty of space for all to be comfortable

Nice trail close to Denver. Great quick hike. A little uphill in the beginning, but this is an easy one

4/5/20 hiked this trail & it was not muddy at all. Great trail with mostly clear path, slight elevation changes, but pretty easy hike overall. Started at 11, trail was pretty busy. Likely better to get there earlier.

Trail was dry. No muddy

Beautiful hike with plenty of parking spots available on a Saturday morning/afternoon. Surprisingly dry today considering it was snowing a few days ago

3/24/20 - It was super muddy the day we went. Nice easy trail to get some miles in. The west side with the Mountain View’s were the best!

Some muddy spots on 3/29/20 due to a recent snow dusting. Starts out steep early on and gets the lungs working. Great views of mountains and downtown Denver. Mostly rocky and some very narrow paths. I liked taking a different route on the way back. So it can be an in/out or it can be a loop. I went up the main trail and came down the right/east side. I saw a lot of different things taking that other way like birds, a bunny, burrows. But, there were a couple areas where the bushes are beginning to take over the path. Overall it was a nice, solid hike.

A bit muddy in places but a great in town hike. Went in the afternoon, parking lot was full but didn’t encounter too many on the trail. Did in about 1 1/2 hours

Slushy, muddy, snowy. Did not need spikes, just good hiking boots. Plenty of people and sunshine.

Most is rated as easy, very flat, just a couple of medium difficulty spots to climb. Watch out for aggressive bikers with narrow walkways. Windy up there. Nice views of city and front range. Not well marked. Absolutely no trees so use caution when sun is strong. Also limited parking. Port o potty.

Trail was dry. Beautiful day!

This is one of my favorite trails so far this year. Beautiful view of Downtown and the mountains. The trails are clean, cared for and marked well. The hikers, bikers, and runners are so friendly and courteous. Didn’t get to finish it all today, so I will definitely make this another planned trip.
