Hard, but very nice! Some areas were hard to follow the trail, so recommend having the map out. I went on a Saturday morning and the trail was surprisingly not very crowded. Def recommend for a challenge with rewarding views at the end!

Beautiful trail! A lot of climbing but worth it for the beautiful views of boulder and at the top equally nice views of the flatirons. Lots and lots of butterflies! I agree with previous reviewers, this hike is actually a notch above 5 miles. I was pleasantly surprised to see only a couple of people without a face covering.

Very crowded but nice walk next to Boulder - good workout! Can be done as a loop too.

Serious incline, but a beautiful trail.. lots of really awesome rock formations, and an amazing view on top.. did a 32min mile.. sounds slow, but that is about what you can expect.. good workout. Would recommend!

Incredible hike being so close to town, really feels like you’re way out secluded in the mountains for most of this. Awesome views, but you definitely work for them on this stairmaster of a hike. My Apple Watch clocked this exact route at 5.25 miles from the parking lot with about 2,300’ elevation gain. Totally worth it though. Also, there’s a lot of small random paths that jut off from the main path so just be aware, pretty easy to stay on the main trail if you pay attention. Mostly dry today, Only a few sections with some snow, no more than about 10feet long at a time, did it okay without spikes or anything. Great hike!

Bring your pole and treks! It helps when your coming back down for sure! I didn’t bring them this time but will next time

Nice trail with a beautiful view but super icy in parts. Need yak tracks and poles for a good portion of the way.

One of the more challenging Boulder hikes. Fairly steep all the way up but great views, especially at the top. This is all class II, you don’t need to use your hands ever unless you are an amateur. Much bigger payoff than Royal Arch. Bear Peak is the only hike I would recommend over this (but it’s considerably harder).

Good hike with quite a bit of elevation gain! The view from the top is amazing and makes it worth the steps.
