Nicely paved trail; great for biking. Beautiful walk early in the mornings and evenings; safe and mostly lite path.

Easy hike near town. Nice in the summer with the stream.

Walked this trail today 11/17. Half of the paved path was clear, half covered in snow. It was too early to go snowshoeing so this was a decent alternative.

What a lovely, well-maintained path through Vail. This is for all levels, and we just enjoyed starting our day with a walk here. The creek is so lovely, and in October, we got a mix of yellow leaves, sun and snow! So pretty. We also saw some moose. Donavan Park is a great turnaround spot with a nice park and bathrooms (water fountains are there but water turns off for winter maybe?). We saw walkers, runners, dogs on leashes, strollers, bikers, etc. Well-paved. Definitely recommend this for a nice walk to see the area or adjust to altitude.

Easy trail that I would constitute as more of a walk. Several small area you can take to even go on other trails from here. Follow it to the end and you’re almost near the Vail transportation center where you can use to take a bus back to your starting point if need be. Very enjoyable!

Just an easy paved trail adjacent to a golf course for much of the way. More of a stroll than a hike, but rather pleasant in nice weather.

Nice out and back with views of creek, wild flowers, rocks, forest and a nice stop at the Memorial Park. Plenty of photo opportunities. Shared trail great for biking too. Paved. Easy navigatio, no technical expertise needed. Enough distance and slight elevation change make it a decent fitness walk.

This is a very friendly trail. Biking seems to be the more popular option, but we also saw plenty of people walking and a few dogs. The entire trail is paved and there and not many shady spots, so you may want to come earlier in the summer. A good way to get exercise while you acclimate to the elevation! Lots of mountain squirrels and birds to see. The first bit of the trail is currently under a bit of construction, so you’ll actually start about a quarter mile later than indicated on the map. There is parking at the start. The end of the formal trail is a roundabout - parking didn’t appear to be available.

This is such a great trail by the water. I would totally recommend this to anyone who has a dog. We went off the paved way and took the trails to the water. If you do enter the memorial park, find the trail to the right that starts climbing, which is great as it’s shaded and you come back and join the paved way. We didn’t do the whole way and turned around the 1.75 mile mark(bridge by the golf course) but we have been there twice and our 3 dogs love the trail. Lots of swimming places around just need to find the right spot. There is a Beaver dam that has an easy access and everywhere else the current was a bit strong. So decide to let your pups in if they are strong swimmers

Great way to get from each little ski village while taking in the amazing views. The trail has a great mix of tranquil and commercial. It follows the tranquil creek and those Rockies on both sides!! Colorful flowers and foliage were also present during early July. Paved and friendly for all ability levels. Also close to bus line.

Easy paved trail with great lower views. Trail runs next to Bore Creek and the golf course. My wife and I packed a lunch and ate at one of the picnic tables along trail. Good starter trail since we just got into Vail.

Paved trail good for walking/running or biking. Goes all the way from east to west Vail. Scenic, often busy. Dog friendly. Good for all activity levels.

Not a fan of a paved trail that is shared by bikes. State road 6 runs adjacent so you can hear the traffic. Definitely an easy walk and probably a good warm up if it’s your first day in town.

This trail was a great option for those looking for something with little elevation changes and scenic views. It is paved and well maintained along the entire path. If you go a little further for your “out and back” then there is a nice picnic spot set up on a small island near the golf course. The island, which is about 2.25 miles in, has shade trees and a couple of picnic tables. Just watch out for the goose droppings because it is a nesting area for the local geese. We ended up walking just under 4.5 miles after having lunch with the geese and then heading back to the parking lot.

Well maintained, paved trail. Lots of picnic benches and amazing views of the aspens and river. Beautiful memorial park off the main trail, worth a stop if you’re looking for something low maintenance to do in town. Lots of bicycle traffic and a little noisy due to being so close to the Interstate.

I rode this on mountain bike as part of a ride from beaver creek to vail. The portion close to vail is beautiful and the whole things is alongside a river. The portions further out are within site and sound of the freeway which detracts from it
