The other guy isn't kidding about it being a ruthless trail! It was steep and required some scrambling for sure. However, the views made it totally worth it. We made it to the miners cabin for a lunch with the most beautiful surroundings. Didn’t see any wildlife but saw enough scat to know it was close. The land around the cabin was scattered with the craziest red mushrooms and wildflowers. Just plain beautiful. Would definitely do this hike again.

WOW! Ruthless for just a lil' guy! This trail is not to be taken lightly, 800+ feet in just over a mile. Up, up, up! Tonz of mushrooms and a little miner cabin 3/4 of the way up with a very good view to the west. Don't stop though...even though you are spent...just one final climb! Atop you'll be greeted with a grassy/evergreen flat and an incredible view of Mayflower Gulch to the East. Never found the swinging bench tho. At the time of the hike up I'd of told yah it was I look back and it was a heck of a hike! Enjoy!

Great trail! A little muddy at the beginning but not too bad. Cute swinging bench at the top.

Gorgeous hike with a beautiful vista near the Summit, complete with a wooden swing overlooking Breck.
