Biked this in July 2018. Great scenery, approrpriate for all levels but plenty of restrooms/rest stops along the way. If in the area this is one of the best ways to take in what Glenwood Springs has to offer.

One of my all time favorite bike rides. Get up close to the majestic Colorado river as it changes personality - rapids, calm. Seeing the amazing engineering of the highway through the canyon is an added bonus - constructed to minimize blasting the canyon. Finally, you get views of the steep canyon walls, which seem to change as the sun crosses the sky and shadows play.

Walking it? Maybe. Bike out and back yourself, or use a shuttle service from Glenwood Springs.

We did part of the trail along the Colorado River and it’s a scenic walk. You’ll run into cyclists, joggers, and other walkers along the way. Bring your dog and enjoy the view.
