Did classic cross country skiing. Little snow packed/icy but still enjoyable!
Construction from resort into town that you aren't technically suppose to go through, ends the 6th.
Good views of the valley and follows the river most of the way. There isn’t much shade for long stretches and can be hot on a warm day.
Lots of bikers to walk around, otherwise great views and bridges along the river.
This trail is Easy, not Moderate. We went from Fraser to Winter Park, thinking this was a real trail. It turns out it is not much more than a gravel bike trail that turns in to walking along the main road through Winter Park. For the 3.5 miles we walked from Fraser to Winter Park, this does not deserve to be on this site as a trail. Maybe when you get past Winter Park it is more like a trail. I do not recommend this trail to anyone who has hiking in mind.
Nice trail to bike. It’s kind of split into thirds, first part is dirt, then it runs through a little bit of the town on the sidewalk, then the last part is paved which is the nicest part of the trail cause it runs in between the trees. The trail was closed towards the end which was a bit disappointing we didn’t get to finish it. Pretty views the whole time though. Family and kid friendly!
Love the upper part of the trail in WinterPark! It was beautiful! Didn’t want to bike on the road side with the fam so we didn’t make it into Frazier.
Sometimes the signs are hard to follow. Not the best for a bike bc of all the pedestrians.
Good for getting in between towns. Lots of town traffic. Good signage. Wide trail for bikes and pedestrians with dogs. We parked at Lions Lake to meet up with the trail. Ate at the Ditch on 40 for Margaritas and Tamales, the. Rode back again. Great happy hour ride.
We walked the Fraser end of the trail. Lovely rushing river in late June, though it’s overlooked by houses almost all the time. The AllTrails trailhead is incorrect, indicating that one should start in a private parking lot. The actual trailhead is on County road 8 just a little way west of Highway 40
completed this on 5/21. The trail is very well marked and maintained until about the last half mile. Plenty of benches and tables on the trail. A bit muddy but as long as you have good footwear you should be fine.
