Good trail. Only takes about an hour. Super easy. If you start from the Fowler&rattlesnake entrance inside the state park , it’s pretty anti-climactic when you get down to the “end” or the other lot. I would recommend starting there and ending inside the park. But not sure how to get to that lot... we did this hike and then completed rattlesnake gulch trail. Long day but worth it!

We walked part of the Fowler after doing Rattlesnake Gulch and it was an absolutely beautiful trail. Nice and wide and great for walking and talking with your hiking buddy. Would like to do the whole 4 miles next time!

Easy trail, mostly flat, lots of nice puppies to say hi to! Easy enough to have a conversation while walking/hiking.

Very nice trail with some lovely views. Just enough of a grade to get some light exercise in a short afternoon. It took us about 1.5 hours round trip. The parking was pretty full, as it was a warm Sunday, but once we were on the trail we had plenty of space to ourselves. Only a few muddy spots and a tiny bit of snow left—otherwise a dry trail.

Great conditions! Kind of busy but not terrible

Great flat hike meandering along above the creek. Nice mix of open and trees.

Great trail for an easy hike. Best thing is you get great views from the start, so you don’t have to hike the whole thing if you are bringing out-of-towners around who haven’t acclimated to the altitude. A little slushy/muddy but not too bad, expected right after the snow we got earlier in the week.

Easy, quick trail with scenic views! The trail turns into a road and the views disseminate, but the first half of the trail is beautiful!

Pretty, calm, and super easy. Some cool views. Trail got wide and looks like a service road.

Some spots with snow but mostly dirt and a tiny bit of mud! So nice!

Beautiful views for such an easy hike. Due to the recent snow though - the trail was either snow covered, ice covered, or mud covered. Didn’t bother me! Buy a pair of small studs or traction grippers.

Great great great scenery and super simple hike! As soon as the first canyon was out of sight, I became disappointed. That lasted about 3 minutes until the next awesome view of awe inspiring mountains. This place truly is so amazing. Excited to try out the other trails here. Only downside is the $10 entry fee.

I thought this hike was beautiful and easy. I’m post bilateral foot surgeries and can only do the easier hikes... I needed micro spikes for just the first portion of it, then we took them off and were able to continue without. I came back using a deer path and found an old abandoned cabin that made for an awesome experience.

It’s little icy and muddy in some parts but overall a leisurely hike. The beginning is harder and about half way through the hike is on a gravel path.

Great hike but very muddy and snowy if you do the extra loop, still nice to be outdoors here though!

Such pretty views! It was very very icy though for the first part that we had to turn around. Would have been fine just us, but we had our dog with us so we wanted to be cautious.

2/14 - snowy but not icy (microspikes still seemed useful). Great views and rock formations in first mile. Second mile along a road through meadows (pretty boring, but this is where you get elevation change if you want a little cardio)

Great, easy trail. Easy family trail for the older family members, short trek to and back. It's a little icy for the first 10-20minutes but clears up right away. Easy for small dogs too!

Don’t let the ice at the beginning of the trail scare you! It’s only icy for the first .3 miles or so. Did this trail on a Sunday morning in the middle of winter and it was just about perfect for that - a nice, refreshing hike without being too difficult or tiresome.

Easy and lovely little hike.

Great trail with nice views. Trail is currently icy in spots. First part is nice and smooth, turns Rocky before you hit a service road. View and trail are best before the service road.

Despite it’s relatively short length and it’s lack of any significant elevation gain, the Fowler trail is one of the greatest hikes (walks) in Colorado. No, it’s not a work out but it does offer incredible views, exhilarating exposure and some of the most spectacular scenery in the state... most importantly it offers it to everyone.. from toddlers taking their first steps to people in wheelchairs, the Fowler trail is #1. (This is Alaina’s dad btw.)
