Lovely short-ish hike for me and my dog, beautiful views of the flatirons and a section through the trees where you catch some shade. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, the flying ants or whatever they were near the small pond at the beginning and end of the trail were AWFUL! After you got through them, it was really nice. Parking can be tricky, as it’s a small lot and $5 (exact cash only) for non-Boulder residents. I had no cash and parked on the road in front of the parking lot and wasn’t ticketed.

Hiked this yesterday. It was a nice, easy hike, and has great views of the flatirons! There is a lake towards the beginning, and lots of flies swarmed us, but once you get over the hill it was not an issue. There were several bikers and a few other hikers, but it wasn't overly crowded. I would do this hike again!

Easy walk, no incline. Not many people on a Sunday, enough space with the trail to pass people with distance

7/19/20: Nice and easy trail. Nothing spectacular, but the views are nice and the wildflowers are pretty this time of year. Was expecting the whole trail to be out in the open, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the middle mile of the trail was thru a pine grove. Would recommend hiking shoes as the trail is full of loose rocks.

Great for a a quick early morning hike, went with my dog and was honestly really easy. Not very shaded trail but there’s a section that there’s plenty of shade and a nice view of the Flatirons on the right. Make sure to go early cause it could get hot . Good views for a short hike.
