Nice easy trail with great views. Only shaded for about 3/4 a mile. Perfect for trail running, biking, and walking a dog !

the trail is all around simple and very nice to hike/bike on. the views are great! only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because alot of people leave their dogs poop bags all over the trail and the view of the factory and power lines don't do much for the natural beauty of the area.

This is a great little front range hike. The parking fee is waived during the COVID pandemic so that’s nice! They have “suggested direction” signs up to help with social distancing, but lots of people didn’t follow them. It’s not a big deal though, bc the trail is nice and wide so it’s easy to social distance anyway. Surprisingly not a ton of people there when I went at noon on a Friday. It’s a very easy hike, good for all skill levels, but there is very little shade so be prepared for that. One of my pups favorite hikes bc there’s a pond she can swim in and I got to let her off leash for a good portion of it bc we weren’t running into many people and the trail is so wide. Beautiful views of the foothills throughout the hike!

A nice and easy trial to walk or run on. I visited after work and found the trial head to be fairly empty. Fees are waived during COVID.

This is a beautiful flat trail with gorgeous views. It is great for walking with a friend as most of it is “social distancing” wide and very open. The vista gives a whole new view of the flat irons - it is lovely!

It was a pretty trail! Easy but rocky. Gym shoes were fine. Sign was up saying parking was free until further notice due to Covid-19. Be careful of signs for horse trailer parking only. They were giving out tickets to the cars parked there.

Beautiful day today! Started out cool and foggy but the fog broker up the last mile of the hike!

Friday 11 am parking lot about 1/3 full. When I left around 1:30 pm it was pretty full. Nice for now the $5 parking fee is waived due to Covid. More of a walk than a hike. Trail in good condition and nice scenery but disappointed about all the power lines and the traffic noise.

Easy hike, great for early season if you take the winter off (or are recovering from an injury...). Hope for sun otherwise it'll get cold/windy (wide open). Free parking sign on fee tube (not displayed on .gov site). Opens up to better views than you expect. Not challenging at all.

This trail is perfect for family with kids. We came at 7am and no one was here which was perfect during this pandemic. But it was crowded when we were back at 8:30. Fees are waived for this covid situation.

Beautiful - easy grade, well maintained and will absolutely go again. 4 and 6 year old had no issues. Little rocky in some parts but nothing excessive.

Anyone go today? Is the trail still closed?

Absolutely irresponsible dog owners crowd this trail, must have counted 100 bags of dog poop! Honestly, if you bother to clean it up then carry it out, don’t leave the trash!
