The first and final portions of this loop are diminished somewhat by the road noise from Highway 93 and the Trinity ESC works. The Springbrook loop portion of the trail is heavily traveled by mountain bikes, even on weekdays. However, the weekday riding crowd is a pleasant bunch, for the most part courteous and safety conscious. There is a great chance to see deer and several species of bird, as well as a fox or two. The open forest is pleasant and scenic, though it gets hot in a hurry--water is a must. Overall, a good foothills hike.

This ones a favorite close to home! Connects to other trails, so you can make it a longer hike if you want. Everything is lush & green right now & tons of wildflowers. Did this on a late Sunday afternoon & is wasn't too crowded.

Great weather, nice trail. Not exactly picturesque but good start to the year hike.

If your looking for an easy hike with a gentle elevation gain this is the hike for you.

We actually picked up the trail off of the Doudy Trail to make it a 5.2 hike.

Get there early as the parking lot is small.

This is a multi use trail (hike, bike, horse) so expect some traffic.

Not many people on a Thurs around 10;00am. The lower loop is easy and there is some shade and nice views.

Came on a saturday. A little busy and had to wait for a parking spot. 5$ park fee on the honor system. Very pretty area. And felt safe going solo here.lots of hikers, bikes and a few horses. Good area for trail running. Shaded areas along the way. More of an easy trail or on the low side of moderate!
