If you’re not used to elevation/altitude, get adjusted first. I did the loop and was winded early though I’m an active/fit person. The climbs were nice with lots to take in. Loved the rock steps on the ascent and descent.

Really great hike and view, though it was very strenuous. Expect to take multiple stops along the way. Pack a little lunch for the summit. You’ll want to stay a while and enjoy the views! We clocked 4 miles round trip so I’m not sure where they come up with the 2.5 miles. It’s definitely not if you follow the route listed.

Tough trek up some steep elevation, but once you pass the rock scramble, it becomes a cake walk.

Went on a Saturday around 1pm. Parking wasn’t an issue at the trail entrance. The incline and altitude was a bit intense at first but then we got used to it. Several good views on the way up & at the top, it was incredible!!! Totally worth it. Amazing amazing views.

Four-starring this one because I thought the trail was surprisingly difficult to follow considering how popular it is. I ran into several spots where I wasn’t sure which direction to go in and the few signs on the trail do not seem to be very effective, but it could just be me. I saw a few other people having difficulties too. If it weren’t for the AllTrails gps map I would’ve definitely ended up going the wrong way. Other than that a nice, solidly challenging trail. A couple sections of mild boulder scrambling but nothing terrible. I do wish I had brought my poles with me as several areas on the descent are quite steep. Make sure you get there early. I pulled in at 6:20 on a Sunday and it was still quiet but the trail was getting pretty overrun by the time I arrived. Also, the entire loop as the GPS on this map indicates is nowhere near 2.5 miles, I clocked just about 4.

Beautiful hike with some fun rock scrambling though nothing too intense. Steep upwards hiking for part - reasonable fitness level required though almost anyone could manage it by just taking it slow and steady. Someone in good fitness would find this very doable. Gorgeous views.

Enjoyed the trail. Not terribly hard, a few rocks to climb but really fun. My mini golden doodle made it all the way!

appears to be a little longer than the map says. trail is nice with some minimal climbing needed to reach the top. beautiful view from the top. totally worth the trip!

This trail is beautiful. I took friends who weren’t avid hikers and it was a tough trail (especially the scrambling bit near the end) and they were exhausted but the view was SO worth it. You get to a part at the end where you can view one of the flatirons directly across from you and it seems like it’s the end of the trail, but if you follow the trail just 5 minutes farther, the view is breathtaking. It took us about 3 hours to do but we went slow and took frequent breaks. Such a great hike!

Amazing. Hot day to hike but way worth it. Making it to the top is well worth the hard climb. Bring lots of water

Highly recommend! Keep pushing once you think you’re done, there’s a little more to the trail!

Pretty hot day, went after 5:30pm as they’re working on the trail during the day. Amazing view from the top. People also climbed from the “loop” trail. Could be dangerous.

Beautiful! Fun, easy little scramble up to the top. Definitely make sure to go over the “ridge” and to the right another 0.2 mi or so for the amazing final views! A little washed out in places but it looks like they’re doing some work on that.

This hike was AMAZING!! Super fun & easy to follow the trail. It seems like you’re at the top, but you need to hike over and you can keep going up about 5 more minutes to see the views of the rockies. It’s absolutely beautiful! Bring some snacks for the top, you’ll want it! Can’t wait to do this again.

Awesome hike. First time in Colorado from New York. Definitely a workout! Got to the trail at 7am on a Sunday. Able to find a good parking spot. Saw a few people on the way up and by 9 there was a crowd. Great views, fairly easy to follow

it's under maintenance from Monday to Thursday right now. the view is great (you can see the rocky mountain side on the top!)

Got to the entrance around 7 on a Saturday and it was perfect. Not too over crowded and the trail was open. Just a little slippery in some spots.
