Best all around trail in the area, if you live in the Springs area, this trail should be done at least once a month. If you are traveling through then Falcon should be on your to do list. Great climbs and super flowy descents. Trail is very well maintained and is usable pretty much the entire year weather permitting. You will need ID to enter and riders are not allowed to ride alone, so bring a friend.

I parked at the lot just off Academy road to right of stadium, started clockwise between mile marker 4-5, 13.46 miles per the watch in 4 hrs 36 minutes being mushed by the nuclear powered dog!! A lot of icy spots but managed to only use the spikes once or twice. Came across 3 mountain bikers and 5 other people all nice no issues with right of way. Overall easy to follow/well marked- lots of deer and other small animals- would like to do this again in the late spring when the snow is all gone.

Rode 16 Nov 19. Trails are in fantastic condition. 99.8% dry, with a few muddy or wet sections where there is some snow melt runoff. There were a few sections that had been pretty badly washed out all summer, but these have all been repaired in the last few weeks. Go out and enjoy the beautiful views!

Only hiked a bit to find a place for a hammock. Beautiful wildflowers and views. There were a ton of mountain bikers when I went, all very friendly.

Such a great ride. Highly recommend. Well maintained trail. Well used, with kind people sharing the trail for biking, horses, hikers, runners. Beautiful views reward the elevation gain, fast downhills will cool you off. All around gem.

I did this trail yesterday. My All Trails App said 13.8 miles. My Apple Watch said 13.1 - which matches the mile markers along the trail pretty closely. It took us just under 5 hours of hiking time to complete. A little bit of everything - forest, woodlands, scrub oak, open grasslands, hills, descents, etc. We parked at the 'top' where the mile markers start. Around mile 7 you can refresh at the Shoppette with a restroom - though there are many porte-potties along the trail too. Mile 11 was about the toughest between the incline & heat after already completing 10 miles. There is a potable water tank at the Stanley Canyon parking area to refill your hydration pack. The trail is in great shape, as usual. Many bikers were out and are generally quite friendly and announce themselves from behind. Worth doing!

My husband and I just completed the entire loop. Great trail! Very well maintained and pretty easy to follow. I would recommend following along with the app to ensure you stay on the trail. Would also recommend doing it clockwise if hiking so you can see bikers coming. There were lots of bikers. All very friendly but some moving pretty fast on the trail. The app says 12.5 miles, the trail says 13 miles. We tracked our distance and it turned out to be 17 miles to finish the loop! Took us 7 hrs 15 min. Leave early, it gets hot on the trail. However, this was the best workout we have done on a trail in a while.

Great trail running. Lots of horses today but was told that wasn’t normal. Lots of bikers. Everyone very considerate. Loved it!

Great variety! Mixed bike and horse riders so stay away from headphones so you can pay attention to oncoming riders. Water all along for filtration or cooling off

Hiked with our dog (on leash). Only covered about three miles from the stadium trailhead toward the chapel. The trail was in great condition but mostly pretty narrow so we stood to the side for bikers to pass, and there were several of them. The bikers were polite and appreciative, often told us if there were more in their group coming or if they were the last one or alone. We’ll definitely go back to hike another section of the trail!

Great trail to bike on but if you’re hiking with a dog then don’t waste your time hiking here. I had my German Shorthaired Pointer on leash and close to me the whole time and almost everyone I ran into was rude.

Awesome trail to bike, hike, or run on. Highly trafficked trail with mountain bikers, hikers, and runners. There are porta-johns throughout the 13.2 mile loop, so you don’t have to worry. A shoppette/gas station is on mile 10 so if you need to grab something it’s 50 meters off the trail.

Giving this 5 stars for convenience & accessibility. As a USAFA staff member this is super convenient & has enough variety so it doesn’t get stale. Solid views of the academy & mountains!

With kids, nice changes in scenery and elevations. Kids started to fade and had to cut early. Well maintained and good signage.

Not bad for a quick hike close to the city. You're close to roads and can hear traffic through a good part of it.

One of our favorite mountain biking trails in town! Has a wide range of terrain, from uphill, downhill, flowy, technical and scenic!

Hiked on 8/27 - it was mostly awesome. Went clockwise. Lots of mountain bikers - the trail shows it - most of whom were polite and respectful - the remaining few were just pure asses - I'm a mountain biker and they give us a bad name.
