Up and down on the East Trail to Evergreen Mountain today, beautiful weather, easy six miles. Trail is clear - need a snow

nice hike close to Denver. Views are alright once at the top to see Mt Evans, but the actual scenic overlook only showcases some of evergreen lake and the high school below. fun hike on a cold day, only saw 2 other people on the trail on a Thursday morning/afternoon

I absolutely loved this trail! It clocked at 5.2 mi with the addition of the Summit Trail, which I highly recommend if you want great views. I parked at the Alderfer/3 Sisters West trailhead, which wasn’t quite as packed as the East trailhead (at least I was able to park in the actual parking lot!). From the parking lot, I took the Wild Iris Loop to the Evergreen Mountain West trail to the Summit loop, and took the same route back. The trail was super clear and not icy at all (apparently the Evergreen Mtn East trail was icy). There were a fair number of mountain bikers but they were respectful and there was plenty of room to move over for them to pass. The views at the top were gorgeous!! I would actually put the trails themselves at the low end of moderate because they didn’t gain in elevation quickly- there were a fair number of switchbacks. I was with my very slow low-energy dog and completed the hike in 3 hours with rest time.

Great trail with scenic views at the top. Incline the whole way but not too hard. Lots of Mtn bikers but easy to share the trail.

This trail was beautiful! Perfect mix of up and down hill throughout. Nice scenic views to stop at along the way. We took the west route in and the east route out so it added 2 miles on, but it was worth it.

Amazing. You can go off trail and climb upward into the Evergreens. It’s a relatively easy hike.

Great short hike close to Denver for someone who wants a half day outing. Trail is in good condition, no snow, but lots of mountain bikers. Pretty view from the top. Easy hike, steady incline the whole way. Dog friendly.

gorgeous views! It is so lightly trafficked that we were the only ones on the mountain which is exactly how I like it!

Took Evergreen Mountain Trail East to Evergreen Mountain Trail West. Lovely hike through evergreen forest with speckled sunshine/shade. Trails are dirt and wide enough for 2 people to walk side by side. Very gradual incline until you hit Evergreen Mountain Trail West (then downhill). Aspens are done.

Took Evergreen Mountain West on the way up and East on the way back. Our total mileage was 6.8 miles and that included the scenic view right before you hit the scenic loop at the top.

This trail is a great, gradual incline and I agree, this should probably be rated as an easy hike. Another great one in CO! :)

Great hike. I'd say it was closer to the easy side. Parked in the second parking lot (Evergreen Trail West) and hiked a long loop that totaled 6 miles. Walked up Evergreen Trail East then walked around and came down Evergreen Trail West. The Summit view was beautiful.
Arrived to parking lot at 12pm on Saturday in August, and found a spot easily. Some interaction with mountain bikers, less so with hikers.
Total 6 mile loop, including a few stops for photos, took a total of 2 hours 40 minutes - app says moving time was 2 hours. Easy to get to from Denver. Paved road to a well-maintained dirt parking lot.

Love this trail and have hiked it as well as mountain biked it numerous times over the years. Our last hike just a couple of days ago started at 7:30 am and lasted just a little over 3 hours. It was still pretty brisk as we started our day and quickly warmed up as we made our way to the top. Hardly any people at first, though it got quite busy about 2 hours into our hike.

Two adults and two kids, we took our sweet time, taking in the scenery and stopping along the way to admire the park's beauty. You can walk for hours in this park as the trails intertwine and loop, eventually leading back to either one of the parking lots at Three Sisters. We took Evergreen Mountain West all the way to the Summit Trail and came back down following Evergreen Mountain East and returned to the main parking lot through Ranch View.

This is a very popular park and the trails get very busy. Kid friendly, even the youngest kids as there are some trails that are really short and easy. A lot of hikers and mountain bikers throughout the day.

Great summer morning hike. Shady, not too crowded early in the day. We passed a fair amount of bikers, but all were very nice. Moderate trail, easy at times. Great view at the top and very well maintained. I'll be doing this one again!

Easy hike for families. We carried an 18 month old in a carrier with no problem. With only 800 ft of elevation gain the view at the top isn't spectacular but still cool. Also liked how shady the trail was -- nice on a hot day.

Great hike with the dog. Not too difficult and the views from the top are very nice. There were quite a few mountain bikers, but we had no issue with them. Aside from the bikers, there weren't too many other people on the trail.
