packed enough for boots. snow shoe trail ended about 2 miles in so we turned back.
Trail was packed snow and only slick in spots. We departed the trail and hiked on the river but eventually fell through the ice Up near the first campsite. Water only a few inches deep but did soak our shoes and socks. Navigating downed trees back to the trail added to the adventure. Still had fun but probably recommend staying on the trail.
Grateful to Mr. Arthurton’s review! With many trails closed, we are grateful for the opportunity to hike East Inlet on our last day in Colorado. Absolutely breathtaking! The trail is moderate, and although there is some ice on the trail, it was not difficult to navigate. The waterfall is beautiful. Very peaceful.
Great hike to do if you are in Grand Lake. 10 minutes or so past Adams Falls is an incredible meadow view with mountains in the distance. We continued to East Meadow Camp but wasn’t really worth it - we could’ve just turned around at the first view. Easy hike - perfect for families or people looking for an easier hike that still has views.
Pretty easy trail w/ lots of beautiful little spots to stop and enjoy. Not a ton of people if you go past Adam’s Falls.
Such a great hike to do after a previous day of big elevation gain. This was easy and you had the falls in the middle of it. The two meadows at the end were so peaceful and breathtaking. We got to the trailhead at 8:30 and had the trail to ourselves after Adams Falls. Coming back there were a lot more people and only half bothered with masks. If you are going to act that way, then stay home. Overall beautiful trail!
Beautiful trail! We were hiking with 11 kiddos under 7 and didn’t make it far but man was it amazing. We saw 2 moose- incredible
Gorgeous well maintained trail leading to a waterfall and 2 meadows. As said previously, you need a reservation and ticket to hike the trail as it goes into the National Park and they are trying to control the crowds. However, you can bypass this, as we did, and go after 5 pm when it is no longer required. This timing will afford you better light for photos and more chance to see wildlife. It seems to rain frequently in the evening so maybe bring something waterproof. Highly recommended.
Beautiful, especially when you reach the first and then second meadow. Go down to the river by east meadow camp for a perfect picnic spot. A little crowded.
Great first day hike with the family. Unbelievable views of the surrounding mountains and the falls. The trail was a little rocky but easy enough for everyone.
The view from the river is nice! After that, it's a decent effort to reach lakes, which is really the nice thing about this trail. So unless you are reaching the campsite for the night, I'd just do the first 1 mile - also lots of wildlife in the meadow. Very wide trail - very easy to walk
