A fun loop not far from entrance to Mt. Evans A fun loop with several side roads to explore. Trail is open to motorized traffic June 15 through Nov. 15. Gate is locked the rest of the year. Broad views from top of mountain. Parking along Highway 103 near start of trail. Before or after you drive this trail, consider a trip to Echo Lake and Mt. Evans, just another 2.5 miles past the trailhead on Hwy. 103. Fun area for unlicensed vehicles with many legal side roads to explore. High Point 10,300 ft., Best time to go: Late June through mid October. Located in Arapaho National Forest. For current conditions call Clear Creek Ranger District (303) 567-3000. Much of this trail is easy; however, there is one steep, rocky spot that is borderline difficult. This section may be closed on future MVUMs. If closed, continue east short distance, turn left and go out the way you came in.

Did this trail on November 26th. No issues at all with a stock 2017 Taco. Wasn't a whole lot of snow on the trail this weekend. Did a bunch of the other side trails as well, had some fun with those. A few tight spots but didn't have any real clearance issues with a stock truck.

Road tires35 psi, stock 2017 Tacoma SR. made it up until the snow really kicked in and then chickened out. Clearance was not a problem.

Recently lifted my Gen 3 4Runner with a Toytec 3.75 and threw on some 32's. Was romping this trail all morning with only a few minor technical challenges. Definitely a great Saturday morning in the HIGH country! Love my Runner - she did good today.

Went on 10/27/17 after a light snow. This is a very fun and easy trail even with snow on the ground. You get some good elevation changes and pitch and roll while on the trail. I ran the entire trail in 4 high with my diffs un locked and never struggled for traction even with the fresh snow. My truck is a factory fresh 2017 Tacoma trd off road with stock tires at factory 30lbs of pressure. Never aired down or had to take a different line. It is a great confidence building trail.

I did it yesterday and it was great! Some snow in spots but nothing more than a inch or so. Great view at the top and a bunch of good side trails to explore. Definitely narrow in some spots for a larger truck.

this trail was pretty fun. on the easier side of moderate for sure, some 1foot ruts and hips but anything with 4 wheel drive should be fine. if you'd like to a video of the main obstacles i have one up at:

It was a good trail. Not much challenge but it was a nice trail that was fun and fast. Lots of great camp sites back there. Good trail for beginners that are looking for a small challenge and a great family friendly trail.

Great trail to spend the day in. Lots of places to camp along the way. Some of the hills were really challenging in our Jeep. This is our 5th off-road trail so far in the last month. So many more to explore.

Took the raptor on this trail today. Overall one of the better trails I've been on so far in CO (only a few under my belt to be fair). Some fun dips and rocks to go over. Think I hit 14% incline/decline on some sections. Some spots on this trail are pretty narrow for a raptor though, so if you have a narrower vehicle with some clearance you will have a blast. It was also raining/sleeting/snowing today, but it wasn't an issue.
