Hike the trail on Nov. 6. Nice trail with lots of variety. But you can see houses during a large portion of the hike, so you always feel close to civilization. First half of hike has decent amount of shade. But 2nd half is mostly out in the open. There is a portion that is sort of right along a cliff...but not bad. I have a fear of heights and had no problem with it.

HikingGreat!

We started at the trailhead of Black bear trail. Absolutely beautiful rocks formations, small portion of it is out in the open alongside of rock heed Martines fences. And than up the mountain again, it’s so beautiful after you cleared the fence line. But hot so have your pole and be ready for rattle snake. I love it. But get start early it get real hot. Enjoy and watch out for bikers also.. it’s pretty narrow trail in some spots..

Very nice and lightly trafficked this time of year, but bring microspikes and poles if you have them.

First to Review

Started in Deer Creek Canyon and went to a seasonal trail Black Bear trail down to Hildebrand Ranch! Three force of the hike was very nice the rest was just outside residential areas. Beautiful rock formations and switchbacks were fun! Wild flowers and the lush greenery around the creek crossing are very pretty right now! Many views of see in the Denver metro plains. Recommend doing it early in the day.
