Deep Creek Trail Loop is a 29.3 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Sunnyside, Colorado that offers the chance to see wildlife and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for nature trips, birding, and mountain biking and is best used from June until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

This trail description is bullshit. Only 9 miles of this route is on a trail. The other 20 is dirt road. And I have no idea why it’s rated hard. About 2 miles of it are uphill at any significant grade and once you reach the road it is all downhill. Although that would be the exact opposite if you go counterclockwise. It was still enjoyable just a bit of a letdown as I was expecting a three day backpacking trip and ended up with an overnight road walk.
