The conditions are outstanding except for the snowpack starting around 11,000 feet on the NE facing slope. Aspen trees in bloom, birds calling, frogs in the pond, and more green than I’ve ever seen in one place. Stay alert for moose and bring fresh legs - it is rated as hard for good reason!

Solid trail, well marked and quiet. Higher elevations had quite a bit of snow. Fairly steady ascent a majority of the trail. Very few views early on as the trail meanders through aspen groves.

I made it about 6 km in, to an elevation of approximately 3,375 meters before I had to turn back due to deep snow (up to quads and did not have snow shoes, so basically post-holing along ridgeline). Knowing I was turning around, I went off trail and snapped some photos. Glad I did, it was awesome! There are really nice areas all about. If anything, I think this trail is underrated if not under-utilized. It is beautiful through and through with the majority of the hike through forest area (serene and picturesque). Views open up toward the top and are excellent. Steep but manageable. Saw quite a few wildlife tracks on the way up. Definitely a bit off the beaten path. I am willing to do this one again a bit earlier in the fall. As stated by another poster, trail is clear of trees and in very good condition.

Tough hike in the beginning all up hill. Woods are a little creepy in parts. Never came to the lake that's suppose to be up there but did come to a hut and waterfall.

Went for two hours up this trail. Spectacular views at times and pretty wildflower. Very steep though

Steep but awesome! I enjoyed this hike a lot but it's not for newbies due to continuous inclines (don't forget leg strain going down). 8 hours total but made it to the top of an amazing peak where you could see for miles! Brightest and most wild flowers I've ever seen once you arrive at the top. Didn't get to the lake but will try again. Tons of mosquitoes so be prepared! Don't give up - it's worth it!
