Very easy hike that is perfect for little kiddos. We saw lots of deer, and had fun skipping stones on the lake. The parking is easy and the restrooms clean.

This is a great trail with lots of tree coverage. It’s doable with a stroller and most of the paths are pretty well-worn, making even the short hills easy to climb. We went today (Saturday) and while the ponds had a lot of folks fishing, the longer loop was nearly empty (although it did rain for a short while).

Well marked trails. Restrooms at trailheads are clean. Some bikers when I was there. I did two different trails today. The Historic Cabins are really neat to see.

Wide and smooth trail, totally dry and super easy to navigate. First time at this park so we kind of wandered around a few different shorter trails. Will be back to do some of the longer trails! Arrived around 8am and there were still plenty of spots, filling up when we left around 9:15 though. Plenty of clean bathrooms at each trailhead!

Beautiful day for a Mother’s Day hike! Got there at 10am and not too busy. Left at noon and there was a long line to get into the park. We will be back to spend more time there and fish. Trail was dry and hiking was easy with a baby in a backpack, wife, and my mother-in-law with her dog.

Great little hike. Lots of people fishing today. No snow or ice - dry, and perfect for our family of 4 (including a 1- & 4-yr old). Wish we had read the reviews and known to check out the cabins. Next time!

There are better options at the park if you have more time and aren't fishing.

Great day for hiking. Boots are the only thing required. Clear trail, people ice fishing on 8” of slush on the frozen lake. ( catching a few trout.) Beautiful warm day. Dog enjoyed herself!

Very easy, completely clear, and almost no traffic this morning! I ended up taking the loop around to Chase Meadows trail, then Staunton Ranch trail. All were perfection. Beautiful first hike of the season! PS-no spikes needed.

Didn’t do the full loop but very enjoyable and easy hike. Very nice views of the rocks as you walk to the ponds. Talked to some people fishing - caught a variety of trout. Trail is in good condition - packed snow and clear in some spots. Hiking boots are probably enough but we did use our nano spikes.

Easy trail, well maintained and marked. Still kept me breathing heavy in certain parts due to the park being at over 8,000 feet! Would be perfect for a jog or walking the pup. Saw a lot of families with young children as well, and even a couple strollers.
