This trail is a bit confusing because there are several places to get on it and not just one trailhead. When we planned it, we had a tough time figuring out where to start from. We found out we can start on Forest Ave and that got us on the goat trail and from there we could join on to the dakota ridge trail. The hike from Forest Ave is pretty interesting because there is little bit of climbing involved and its very exciting for beginner hikers. We also found out that we could start on Valley View Dr and that would take us directly to the dakota ridge trail. This trail however may be less adventurous as it would be a flat path. You can also start on the Mt Sainitas trail head and then join Dakota ridge trail from there. It was fun and is beautiful. There is a wonderful view point from which we can see all of boulder.

Wonderful little trail that runs parallel to Sanitas Valley. Beautiful views, slight incline, my favorite trail running location near town.
