Crestone Needle is a 5.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Crestone, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking and rock climbing and is best used from June until September.

Climbed Crestone Needle in Sep 2015. Well maintained trail from trailhead to base camp at alpine lakes at base of needle. Lord of the rings style mountain in this area. Absolutely beautiful.

You can’t get to this trail without a 4 wheel drive truck. The road gets too bad.
