Nice little trail to bring the kids. Mine are 10 and 8. Easy walk with a couple nice spots to view the area.

It was a good trail overall today, but quite a few people out here.

Ended up with a tick on me. Check yourself carefully after hiking in this area. Beautiful views. Hot. Good for families with little kids (in the early morning or just before sunset).

Nice easy trail. Goes on road for a bit depending on the loop you do

Not recommended for hiking, unless you have a stroller and don't mind walking 1/4 mile on the shoulder of the road. Wouldn't be bad for a bike ride. The first half of the trail is nice and is well suited for families and out-of-towners, as the rock formations are beautiful.

Beautiful area, but also pretty popular for walkers and photographers. The red rocks in the green grasses right against the foothills are gorgeous! Watch out for bats flying in and out of the rocks! Overall, easy walking paths.

Nice park, especially for how close it is to Denver.

Another quick getaway hike. I went with my 7 year old nephews (twins) and we really had a blast!

Decent walk, there are break off trails for more of an incline hike. Some days it can get crowded, but still pretty peaceful.

This was a surprisingly scenic little loop, given its proximity to the city, and we were pleased that parking was still available (but barely) at the smaller south lot on a Saturday around 9:15 am. Trail conditions were decent, though a lack of drainage has led to erosion in some places. Expect crowds, though we encountered very few cyclists and almost no dog poo bags.

If you want a run/hike that doesn’t have much incline this is a great trail. One thing I didn’t like about it was the first half was all down hill and the second half was all uphill. Next time I do this run, I will start on the other side of the trail, where the other parking lot it. Also part of the run was on the road, which I would prefer not to run on. But other than that, it was a great run!

Half of the trail can be considered as a hiking trail, but the rest was more like a running trail including asfalt. I ended up running half of the time. It was sort of boring but nice view by the lake.
