Solid campground that can serve as a base location to some other points in the area, most notably Cottonwood Pass. Cottonwood Lake offers good fishing, particularly for rainbow trout. One tip: the paid site fills up quickly, but the overflow sites are probably even better if you're tent camping. Just a mile or so further down the road past the paid sites are spots for free camping including creek side spots to the left. Lots of space on the sites and plenty of fire pits available.
