Great trail that doesn’t share with bikers. Well demarcated with orange ribbons so you stay on the correct path.

Quick hike down from the gondola. rocks were a little unstable, but other than that, it was a great hike. Great views and beautiful aspen groves. Really nice that bikes aren't allowed on this trail.

I took the gondola from Telluride to Mountain Village and hiked up to San Sofia. Pretty trail mostly through aspen forest. I wanted an easygoing trail after several days of more strenuous hikes and this fit the bill. A lot of construction noise from Mountain Village especially on the lower part of the trail. Had the trail to myself until I got to the top.

Be sure and ride the gondola down to Mountain Village. Trail is in the sun for a few minutes, then you're off into the beautiful wilderness. Great, short uphill hike.

Starts just below the gondola in Mountain Village, but you soon feel away from it all. Beautiful.

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. Mostly through Aspen forest. very relaxing, easy trail. A few scenic viewpoints, but mostly just Aspen ramble. Note that at the branch about .2 miles below the tower (if heading downhill), the right trail is a bit rocky and steeper (nothing intense, but for people with knee issues or uncertain footing, the left branch is a better choice. The two come together again later on. This trail is fun to do from the top of the free gondola down to Mtn. Village, if you don't want to hike uphill.

This trail climbs through a beautiful aspen forest. It starts near the bottom of the Gondola in Mountain Village, and ends at the top of the Gondola. Bikes are not allowed, but I like to pedal up the trail because it makes a fun technical climb (the trail was closed to bikes because of downhillers, not because of people pedaling uphill). In the off season when the Gondola is closed, this is the best way to access the other bike trails on the mountain, such as the Village Trail and the Prospect Trail.
