Probably on the high side of moderate, especially in a stock Jeep. We went a few days after a snow and there were tons of little water crossings.

Just finished the trail. Fun watery trail. I ran it with a 2020 Jeep gladiator sport s 2 in lift on 34s. I got past the beginning obstacles and it was fun until we got to the big rocks. I had lots of trouble getting through that one spot. Other jeepers came to the rescue. After that the rest of the trail was okay. Rocky and okay if you pick the right lines. The other Jeeps with me made it with no problems. 35s on a 4in lift and 35s on a 3.5 lift. I’d say a moderate or hard trail. Not many people mentioned the big rocky area that had me rethinking going up the trail. Thank God for the Jeep community that got me through it.

I ran this trail yesterday (18 Jul 2020) with some friends. Generally speaking, if you can get through the entrance obstacle (at the Middle St Vrain end), then you can make the trail. However, the rocks are bigger these days than in past years; but with the right line and a good spotter, still passable by a stock 4runner with a locker, or something with a little bit of lift and 33's. I drove an LJ on 33's and had no problems. A bit of rock stacking was needed for a stock wrangler on 31s. If you bring a capable stocker, expect to need a tug across a couple of rocks that you get high centered on. I needed to pull a friend with a stock 4runner over two rocks. I did see a stock Gladiator make it up one of the tougher rock gardens. Please start from Middle St Vrain (enter at the Camp Dick side) because the trail typically has no room for passing. Those going Westbound find an unending stream of Jeeps heading Eastbound on the weekends. We were passed in both direction by a few dirtbikes, quads, and utvs, and i was surprised to encounter mt bikers on this trail. There are plenty of good mt biking trails in the area, but this is a bit rocky for my personal mt bike preferences.

Did this trail in a 2016 Toyota Tacoma with a 3.5” lift and 34” tires. The trail is extremely rocky and would recommend having skid plates and armor (as I hit both a couple of times). The water crossing at the top was fun but not nearly as high as other times during the year. It was a great view at the top. I definitely recommend this trail if you love a LOT of rocks on your trail.

County Road 92 is closed at HWY 72 and no access from the Beaver Reservoir, either. It's possible you could take road FR 105 from HWY 72 but I did not try that. I ended up going to Switzerland Trail instead. That's always a fun one.

I’d give this trail a 5/10 difficulty rating. It’s a good trail. The really long and deep water crossing is cool. 2 feet deep maybe.

Good trail pretty rocky love the water crossings. We did not have time to go to the T 33 crash which the trailhead is not very far from Camp Dick campground. You can park trucks and some trailers at the trail head here but get there early in the morning because the parking lot can get full pretty quick
