As good as it gets. Long. Pretty arduous. Well marked. Three hard climbs at least from the north. Fantastic view. Just go do it.

Great backpacking spot! There are some stellar views this segment. You definitely have to work for them, there are three parts that get very steep, and are anywhere from half a mile to a few miles. Hard, but worth it!

peaceful! minimal traffic. plenty of small watering holes. very well maintained. gorgeous views. We hiked section 9 & 10 in a day...but we're pretty spent. this was part of a multi day hike from TN Pass, Mt Elbert summit, to Twin Lakes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this section of the CT. There is a great valley view in the second half of this section that was particularly rewarding. Downside, the mosquitoes are quite bad this year for some reason. That aside, great section for backpacking and hiking.
