Directions from Jefferson: Access Long Gulch Trailhead: Travel north on Highway 285 approximately 1 mile to Lost Park Road (Forest Road 56). Turn right on to Lost Park Road and travel approximately 11 miles to Long Gulch Trailhead.

My father-in-law and I hiked this today 3 miles from the trailhead and back. Pretty level hike with some great views of snow-capped mountains, wildflowers and aspen trees. Only saw a group of 4 & a guy riding a horse during our 4 hour hike.

We plan on coming here again!

Tons of aspens, definitely coming back in the fall. No water on miles 9-14. Amazing panoramas, bring a good camera!

We split this up in 3 sections. A lot tree cover. Not a lot of traffic
