Steep climbs but well worth it. Very remote. Of course it's majestic. Water falls. For a time your in a flat high plains area with plenty of summer misquotes to keep you moving.

This is some of the best and most remote singletrack in Colorado. I rode this section as part of a longer ride from Lizard Head Pass to Durango. This section provided the best riding, with many short climbs and fast twisty descents. Then a major climb takes you to Blackhawk Pass, the high point of the trail. It is then a long, fast, and twisty downhill all the way to Hotel Draw. Stay on the Colorado Trail for more great singletrack, or exit Hotel Draw towards Durango, or take a right turn on Scotch Creek Rd for a downhill To Rico. http://www.bigloopmaps.com/ This map includes turn by turn directions for this ride and many that are just like it.
