flat. mostly no shade. free if you park across the street.

this trail is awesome! moderate traffic, some bikers were kinda rude, but that didn't faze my vibe cus it was beautiful!! there was so many cows and I got close enough to pet on but I wouldn't recommend staying too long haha 5 out of 5 would recommend perfect easy day trail running. will be coming here again!

My 10 and 3 1/2 years old were able to make it with barely no complaints

Quick, easy hike close to Boulder. There were tons of mountain bikers on the trail, so probably not one I'd hike again (especially with my dog), but it fit the bill for a fast Sunday morning outing.

Too many mo’s on bikes

dry; no traction necessary

A lot more bikers than I expected. Can be dangerous if your with your dog, like I was. If your looking for a spot for your dog to enjoy fully with you I would avoid this trail.

Good for beginner trail runners. Saw a coyote around 3:30pm.

Did Hike with a group on April 9. Hiked this plus some other trails/roads for a total of 9 miles in 4 hours. Trail is mostly flat with mild elevation gains. Scenery is open with good views of the Flatirons. Weather was warm and cloudy. Only drawback is sharing trail with frequent bikers.

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. Looks beautiful, though!

Good lunchtime ride. I dunno if the new fee is worth it otherwise. Not really a "destination."

Loved it. Easy hiking. Lot more friendly for Mountain biking. I did the north loop. The south is long and recommended for biking.

Easy hike with some good views, but there is little to no shade and you don't really get that feeling that you've escaped civilization, as there are buildings and roads visible for a good portion of hike. Nice hike if you just want a quick walk though, and my dog enjoys it! Will end up doing it again.

Gorgeous loop with views of canals, the plains, mountains, etc. Great spot for a trail run, photo walk, hike, and a quick jaunt through local history.

This is my go-to trail run. it's just over 3.5 but you can add on more mileage at various locations where the trail meets up with other trails. Great views and awesome terrain.

this is an awesome, easy trail just a few minutes from Boulder. it's flat/stable enough that i brought my mom here when she visited, and she walked it without trouble. if you're on foot, you will have a couple of close shaves with bike riders - why nobody uses their bells, I have no idea - but it's a pretty view and a really nice walk.

Great easy going trail close to home. I have been here many times and it is very nice in all seasons, especially in spring when the fields are full of colorful wildflowers. My dog loves being off leash here, but be aware that cyclist may sneak up on you. I have also encountered some (surprisingly friendly) coyotes and grazing cattle in this area so make sure your dogs are within sight. Also some really interesting gold mining history if you read the signs and pick up a pamphlet at the trailhead :)

A very doable hike with great views and not much elevation. The bicycles sneak up on you.
