Coal Creek Trail is a 18.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Mesa, Colorado that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Grand Junction: Take Hwy 50 east twelve miles to Lands End Road. Take Lands End Road northeast for 14 miles to Wildrose Campground.

A great, moderate day hike. Great views and wildlife. One of our favorite trails when we just need a quick getaway!
