This easy loop follows Clear Creek past Prospect, Tabor and West Lakes. This trail is paved on the north side of the river for bicycles and unpaved for most of the southern portion of the river for foot traffic only. There is a small offshoot trail that goes behind the smaller pond next to West Lake. This offshoot adds a little to the trail length and is a little less used by people. It has a nice boardwalk and bird viewing blind to enjoy all the bird species that congregate in that area. Wild cormorants flock to the small island in Tabor Lake and you will also see hawks, red winged black birds, geese, muskrat and beaver if you are lucky. Many people come here for bird watching and fishing. There are 3 bridges that will take you to either side of the river.

Awesome section of the Clear Creek Train along the Wheat Ridge Greenway. Wide open spaces, narrow wooded lanes. A few bridges and pretty views of the creek. Paved and natural paths running along both sides of the creek through some woods merge onto one paved path as you come out to open space headed west. Lots to do and see!

Lovely, easy walk along the creek that passes several small lakes. Some bikes and others dogs, but pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Easy for all abilities and ages.

Gravel or sidewalk through most of it; good place to stretch the legs and several spots to dip your feet in the creek and cool off a minute. The “loop” part of it was closed for construction so we just did out and back, it was still a pretty good way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

For a city trail, it provides decent views and is very clean and dog friendly. Good for a quick jog or dusk run!

Great trail when you don't have much time and don't wanna drive too far from the city. 2 trails parallel (1 for bikes , 1 for horses and pedestrians). Several lakes. 2 large playgrounds near prospect lake. Saw a snake, lizards , birds butterflies and a dozen different wild flowers

Laid back trail, took the dirt path along the creek. Water was moving pretty fast so couldn't really let the dog in much. Didn't see many people until the ponds. Nice place to hang during the week.

Nicely maintained dirt trail and paved bike trail. The creek was high and roaring but not washed out early July. Lots of pretty trees and wild flowers. Wildlife on the lake too!

Cute, somewhat scenic lakes, as well as a small creek. It was moderately trafficked the evening I went and pleasantly shady.

For a city trail, not too bad. Highway sounds weren't unbearable and the creek made it nice.

A wonderful trail with lots of scenery changes. 7 or 8 sun shelters have recently been installed with picnic benches. It's so fun to watch people pan for gold from the trail. Parking at Anderson or Prospect Parks is free.

Nice, easy trail. You can stay on pavement the entire time or walk closer to the creek on a dirt path. Quite a few mosquitoes today!

This is the perfect casual running/walking trail and a hidden gem that's a quick drive from Denver. Definitely recommend!

Just completed this path it was a great path close to Denver with a lot of beautiful trees and wildlife. Your along side the creek most of the path but there are areas where you can hear slight traffic and see developments. Great for a calm jog within the city nonetheless

Walk along the south side of the creek. The north side is paved with lots of bikers. The south side is a dirt trail and mostly covered with beautiful deciduous trees

It was a pretty good short hike. I only did half of the hike today. The trail is easy and paved, but there is a side trail if you want to feel dirt/gravel under your shoes.

Very easy trail, not sure about the loop part... one side of the creek trail looked to be off limits to bikes.

Very easy trail however on sunny days much of the paved trails are in direct sun so take plenty of water. I enjoyed taking the unpaved trails next to the creek and enjoyed a shady lunch in view of a red hawk and some ducks. It feels very remote despite being in the middle of an urban area. The Apple Map from All Trails told me to park on a residential street and walk to the trail but after I walked down I saw that there is a parking area near the trail head. I would take different directions than what the map suggests to get to it because that part of the walk is fairly stark and I noticed that I parked my car on the street and when I returned the people who owned the home were not pleased with me parking there...though I have no idea why.
