Fairly well marked, just a few nice folks and puppos - all mountain bikers were communicative and courteous

Labeled well on and off. First two miles labeled better than second half. Beautiful views and worth the time. Was 4.9 miles for us.

Really nice trail did this 7/12. Easy trail we took trail around both reservoirs. It was really hot not a whole lot of shade but some. Lots of bikers more than I expected. All in all nice trail.

Nice hike. Full sun and lots of mountain bikers—use caution. Some trail detours so map given here does not follow exactly.

This trail is outdated and gets lost toward the end. My wife and I almost got hit by downhill bikers because of the trail taking us up the chutes! Besides that, the area we hiked in was very pretty and worth going.

Trail sort of gets lost towards the chutes. As well near Gold camp road. Mountain biking trails merge with chamberlain and LOTS of Mountian bikers even on a Monday. Great view of the reservoirs and a good 4 mile hike. June starting to get really hot out so recommend hitting this trail early in the morning!

Like others have said, the alltrails route isn't right. Otherwise, very cool (set of) trail(s).

hikers beware! Bikers think they don't have to tell out to tell you they're coming. I got knocked off the trail once and another guy though I was on a bike only portion. not enjoyable at all.

This was a good hike. Great overhead view of the city. Easy to get to with parking spaces at the start, GPS takes you straight there. At about 1.5 miles we went a different way than the path All Trails has traced because it was a downhill shoot for bikes, but still easy to get back/stay close to the trail. Lots of mountain bikers and a few hikers, everyone was extremely courteous and kind. The dogs loved it, took a little under 2 hours.

Some of the trail goes on the Ladders trail which is only mountain biking. No foot traffic allowed. It’s better to just loop around the reservoirs or take Gold Camp Path (hiking only) up to Gold Camp Road. This way you won’t be in any mountain bikers’ way. Again, don’t take the Ladders trail unless you want to share the trail with bikers.

Took Chamberlain to the reservoir and walked the trail down by the fence. Turned around am and back. Very nice hike.

Will not hike this trail ever again.. there were so many rude mountain bikers on the trail it was unbelievable. In spots the trail is a foot wide with a drop off on one side and several times I was asked to move myself AND my dog out is their way so they could pass when there was literally nowhere to go off the trail. Apparently none of them know trail etiquette.

So things you wanna know: no snow or ice on the trail, this lollipop trail we took clockwise and took us 2 hours at a moderate/chill pace. Near the summit (gold camp rod) there is a ton of trash!! If you please please can, hike with a bag or container of some kind and just pick up at least 5 pieces of trash every time you hike. This trail is a good one to do it because at gold camp road there’s a trash can you can dump at! Hikers, please rant a bit on these sites and encourage some trash pick up every hike for the sustainability of the trail, and to be a descent human. Happy hiking!

Good Views, would actually call most of this easy, this is a trail I bring out-of-towners on when they aren't used to the elevation yet because it's one of the easiest in the Canyon.

Good hike and the trail is pretty clear. Snow spots once in a while but nothing to worry about. We took the loop starting on the East side then rounded over the Bike Chute and came back down the West side of the trail. When at the North end of the trail had to take Ladder trail to stay on the loop, otherwise it takes you into a neighborhood. The trail is marked differently coming back down (Gold camp trail). When the trail crosses over the top of the bike chute watch your pups feet, there is alot of broken glass and beer bottles everywhere (just trashed up there, very sad to see) :(

The trail system has indeed been be rerouted, and there is a considerable amount of mountain biking on portions of this trail. Very pretty location though. The route we took was Chamberlain Trail to Gold Camp Path which deviated from the map here near the parking area. This is where the mountain biking activity picked up (and it looks like a great ride for bikers out there so I did see why the trail is so popular). We got turned around a bit here so we had to improvise a bit, but after looking up some more recent maps, from the Gold Camp parking lot, you should take The Ladders trail which will tie back into the Chamberlain Trail for your descent. Only a few icy spots to contend with, but manageable in hiking shoes.

Trail has clearly been rerouted since the original map was made. Took the loop counter-clockwise and became unconfident of my route, so doubled back. Will try clockwise next time and see if it's clearer.
