Very pretty hike with nice views from the shelter and tower. Added on the Old Ute Trail loop which is shady.

Very easy at first but gets harder the second half. Not a lot of shade. Very fun hike for a beginner like me. Just don't push yourself too hard.

very nice trail.... thought it was more moderate than intermediate... then reached a steep area at the end.... that made it intermediate. great views!

Nice hike. A lot easier than I anticipated. It was mostly really clean and wide trail.

Nice hike for families, went on a weekday and had lots of time alone on the trail. Hike to the tower was challenging for my 6-year-old (coming from sea-level) but she made it and the views were stunning!

We completed this section of the park with our four and six year old. They really dug the 'castle ruins' and we saw a lot of wildlife. Even on a Sunday morning with the parking lots full and many families on the trail we still ended up with some quiet stretches where we were alone. The hardest part for our youngest was the climb to the fire tower, but he made it and the views from up there were amazing! We had a picnic at the Eagle Eye Shelter before we made our way back down.

Great trail, has diversity of difficulty and connects easily between easy to moderate. Saw some ruins of an old estate, two looking towers, and great views of red rocks, meadows, downtown and so much more.

Trail starts out easy and wide with plenty of opportunities to select other, more challenging options. Great views of Denver, Red Rocks Amphitheater and west to the mountains.
