Pretty good trail! Can be confusing to follow at the beginning because some parts are cut off by roads. Really busy. Some gradual inclines but nothing crazy.

Really enjoyed this trail, beginning is not nearly as trafficked. Last half gets busier on the paved trails. Lots of sun. Views of Pike’s Peak and the kissing camels throughout. Some gradual inclines, but nothing too intense. Dog friendly.

Couple of icy spots. Nothing too crazy. We came back down Scotsman’s trail on the way back instead to have a little bit of different scenery. Trail is very well maintained. I’d say it’s definitely leaning toward the easy side of moderate.

Really just a beautiful park. Nothing crazy in the sense of strenuous, I would beg to differ this should be rated as easy, but even with that being said I could spend all day exploring and enjoying. I would 100% recommend a sunrise/early morning hike as it’s not yet busy, therefore you can enjoy, listen and the views are gorgeous.

More of an easy hike than moderate. There was maybe a patch or two that had some incline. Nice way to see a lot of the park in one sweep

Deviated up the scotsman trail on the way back to make a full loop instead of cutting back on palmer and it was amazing. Total distance with the extension, having parked at the visitors center totaled about 5.4 miles. Most of the trek was easy with about 30% at moderate, largely due to elevation gains in short bursts. There is horse traffic at parts and there is almost no cover from the sun. Bringing sufficient water is a must.

This trail has beautiful views of the rock formations. Easy trail for a beginner. It does get hot so bring plenty of water.

Pretty easy, lots of horse traffic. Trail is sandy and most usually flat except for a few little steeper parts. Great views along the trail the whole way but there is NO canopy cover. We went in July and it is currently 98 degrees here. Bring water, you are basically cooking in the sun. There are cactus which are an interesting sight for people like myself who live in an area where that is unheard of. All in all a decent trail, but the trailhead is a little difficult to find!!

Ran this trail at noon on a Sunday. I think I passed people every 5 min, but everyone was very nice, letting me pass them. Good hilly run. recommend trail shoes.

Great hike, fairly easy. Starts off pretty boring, but has some great views in the loop. I liked looking at the Garden of the Gods from afar, then walking through it. The start of the trail isn’t marked and basically starts off on the road. We found that very confusing at first.

good hike. I'd recommend to anyone for a different way to see the park. Good mix between easy & moderate trails Definitely suggest going early to get a parking space & so you don't run into so many people. gives great views of Pikes Peak as well
