We visited this trial when a lot of families were here for 4th of July. However, when going into the trail it was not very crowded and it was well shaded in some areas. I am an amateur and trying to get into shape. This was definitely a good trail for me and the pup. There is also a lot of access to the water to allow your dog to splash around.

Got there early like 8-830, (packed by 10-1030) the trail is a lil ways up. Really good for a puppy (mine is a 35 lb goldendoodle) who is just getting into hiking and can do some elevation. He did well and there are some good shady spots and nice grassy pastures to rest in!

Easy hike with a good amount of shade. Nice river nearby during the whole hike. Downside is that it’s pretty popular and too many people.

Pretty! Park does get crowded on weekends though.

Went with my 2 year old granddaughter, took a time. She does 1 hour a mile. Not to crowded, perfect weather Saturday May 23rd 2020

Busy trail but it’s a nice, short hike close to Denver and has a river. Parking is a hassle.

Great little trail close to denver. Very busy and went on a Thursday at 10am (with safer at home orders, only 5% of people wearing mask). Sun, shade, mellow incline and creek access.

Very easy trail with great relaxing sounds of the creek, but this past weekend there were a lot of big snakes and families not keeping an eye on their dogs or children. You should stick to the trail, just a few feet off the trail we saw a lot of snakes in the grass and snakes crossing the trail itself. Also like others have mentioned, not great for social distancing.

A bit crowded but lots of wildflowers and interesting rocks. Also a little traffic noise at the end of trail.

Easy easy easy! If you are a regular hiker, this is a walk in the park! If you are not, then feel free to knock yourself out on this trail... very beginner! FYI, watch for snakes and don't touch them. Lots of people, avoid during the weekends. People doing dumb stuff and cutting trails and not wearing masks.

Easy, short hike close to Denver! Currently very crowded and narrow in places so difficult to social distance

a bit too busy for this whole social distancing thing. Went on Saturday and it was hard to get a spot. But it was a nice easy walk

Nice day on Saturday. We had to make a few loops in the parking to get a spot. Nice views and gentle ascents. A lot of folks out.

Still muddy and icy in spots. Very crowded today too! Otherwise great quick hike not far from home.

Did this trail on 2/29 and 2/22. It’s very icy and definitely recommend what a previous hiker suggested: go counterclockwise so you’re hitting most of the icy spots going uphill. It was very slick and I definitely fell once. Bring spikes for sure. Super gorgeous and easy hike, though!

While most folks go counter-clockwise and hit the trail right from the parking lot, I’d recommend going clockwise while it is so snowy and icy. There are a couple really tricky spots right now (3.7.2020) so crampons are probably best. We managed but both of us fell down. Still fun if you’re willing to rough it at spots!

love this casual loop. right now it's incredibly icy and muddy, pretty precarious in some places, not for casual outing right now.

Nice little hike with good views. The trail was pretty snow packed all around with only a few spots with some loose snow. Spikes or poles aren’t necessary but they make the downhill portions of the loop much better.
